Warp and weft: handspun wool - white and natural color brown ; Stitchery and tassels: commercial red wool. Bag: warp-face plain weave - special warping method creates brown and white (striped) check pattern. Same technique as used by Zinacantepecos, Mixe and Mayo (?) ; also ancient Peru and South West. Side selvages finished with stitchery in red, similar to buttonhole stitch. Big red tassels made in lower corners. Straps: warp-face plain weave - warp set-up creates solid white stripes, solis brown stripes, and narrow cross stripes in brown and white. Cut warp ends worked into 3-strand flat braid, knotted at lower end.
