Pleating workshop by Mattijs van Bergen + Bakri Shoukeh
Mattijs van Bergen has joined his creative vision for the new dress Noor in the sustainable collection Matter with the handwork knowledge of pleating specialist Bakri Soukeh. The result is a refined knife-pleated two-tone shift dress of soft Japanese crêpe. In the temporary pop-up store in Gallery Lensvelt Amsterdam – where the dress will be launched – Mattijs and Bakri together will organise an interactive pleating workshop.
After the two creatives explaining the handwork that goes into pleating, you get to work on your own piece of pleating, that you get to take home.
